Description

This double-level bunny hutch is shaped just like a traditional barn, complete with peaked roof, and offers all the space your bunny desires. The roof opens fully to allow for easy access to the inside, while the floor slides out for quick cleaning. Constructed of fir wood with a non-toxic, weatherproof stain, this hutch features asphalt shingles, double-access doors, a built-in sleeping box, and a slip-proof ramp between levels. The door to the sleeping box doubles as a ramp when opened. Assembles quickly with minimal tools required.

When product arrived, I had to find some wood glue. Some of the boards were chipped/cracking off before it even came out of the box. The separator from the pin to the bunny's little sleep area was a joke. It had a flat area 6"x8" for her to sleep and the rest was pull out tray. I thought that whole area would be one level for her to sleep and stay warm, but the seperator doesn't even come down all the way. Then the worst thing about this item, is that the bottom is completly OPEN. This is a rabbit hutch people!!! What do rabbit's like to do??? DIG!! My rabbit wasn't in it for 12hrs before she dug her way out. We had to place wire along the complete bottom of it so she couldn't dig her way out. The same wiring they have on the sides would be a good idea to put on the bottom!!! HINT HINT! Now that the bottom is complete, its working out good. She loves her space. The hutch is very cute to look at and easy to put together.

My daughter was so excited but I was very disappointed that several pieces were broken.

Service and delivery comments:

The bunny barn was purchased for my daughter for Christmas so we just opened it Christmas morning. There were several pieces broken. We have repaired them but I'm still concerned about it holding up. It seemed easier to fix than try sending it back but considering how much I paid for it, it should have been packaged with more padding.

Building Materials are so cheap for a cage that costs [$] dollars. Came in with broken pieces. The package needs more styrofoam and protection. Seems Ware is more concerned about making it fit into 1 box than about packaging. Would never recommend

I love the hutch! It is so great for my bunny. We are out of the house a lot during the day so the hutch is great and gives the bunny a lot of room to run around to get good exercise.It is a little hard to clean and your bunny can get a little cold in it during the winter. Other than that, it is a wonderful hutch and my bunny LOVES it.

Q1: Is the bottom of this is connected and enclosed?

A: Yes the bottom is connected - enclosed yes in the sense it has all sides with wire to prevent bunny from hopping away but doesn't have a shelter section in the bottom run area.
