The Ware Premium Plus Penthouse Hutch is an all-in-one unit to give your pet everything he needs. Complete with an exercise pen, hutch, and nesting box, this large unit offers plenty of interior space to keep things interesting. The lower level is enclosed in galvanized wire with 1-inch spacing, and features a non-slip ramp that allows access to the second floor. Up top is a cozy nesting box and an enclosed area perfect for sleeping and safety. Open the wood door and it doubles as a ramp. This hutch is constructed of fir wood with a nontoxic, weatherproof finish, and features asphalt shingles on the roof, which is hinged for full access. Measures 45.75L x 25W x 36.25H inches; some simple assembly required.

My daughter has two rabbits which I beleive should spend more time outside so we purchased this hutch. In the mean time she got 4 baby ducks which we had a cage for at first but what we didn't relize is how fast they grow... Thanks to our new hutch this is their home for awhile. We use the bottom for them and it work out great. In a few week when they can leave, the rabbits will have their new cage back. My daughter loves this cage its easy to clean (great for her) and it is easy to move around. The only thing we don't like is the front plastic heart shaped latch for the top doors it is not secure enough. My husband will make something so it won't open that easy and my daughter won't have to worry that her rabbits might get out. Other then that this is a great product [...] and it was a great price.

We got this product specifically to keep dog and bunnies seperated. The heart shaped latch on the front will keep a bunny in, for sure, but there is no lock so all it takes is a nudge of a nose (latch just spins to position) or paw for front door to swing open. A toddler could open as well. We lost a bunny today because the dog got to it. Did not knock it over, did not scratch wildly, just hit it right with her paw and door swung open. We've only had the cage 2 days and now I'm explaining to 3 little ones the circle of life. BIG CON.On the plus side, it was easy to assemble, it is attractive[...]. [...]I would reccomend but with a big warning.

not a good cage to house or to clean.
the bottom has no wire so the rabbits can dig out. the upper can not be cleaned unless one is willing to disassemble the majority of the housing. the material is flimsy to say the least and when one is ready to clean the hutch, one better posses a screwdriver otherwise the ladder will not come back out for cleaning.
also i purchased this to match the other condo i had purchased and this one is much lower and narrower than the original house which was perfect, all the same company.
this one was a clear miss!!!!!!!

I receieved my package a little bit damaged and did not want to fool with trying to send it back. It was easy to repair. The handle( heart latch) will eventually have to be replaced to something more secure. Our lopp eared rabbit seems to love it. Great for indoors if you have the room

I was impressed with RabbitCageSource for the price and free shipping, and then super impressed when I ordered a little after midnight on a Wed & it arrived on Friday morning! One minor problem with the upper tier shelf ~ a small section of the plastic tray liner was broken on the edge, but a little glue & silicon...as good as new!
Just got the rabbits in it today, so the jury is still out on the pros & cons. At this point, it was easy to assemble and seems pretty sturdy.

The covering for top floor came broken and chipped around the edges. Materials are soft and low quality. Comes as pictured, somewhat challenging to align predrilled holes, about 1/4" off in places.

the rabbit cage really deserves a 3 or 4 star rating. I like it and Lucy, our rabbit seems to like her new digs too. However, it came broken. It took lots of wood glue and a handy husband to put it together. I did not want to deal with sending it back and waiting for another and we did not have the time. We needed it right away for our closed in porch for Lucy's winter home as hurricane Sandy was bearing down on us. Like the product, don't like the shipping method, and /or packaging method....needs improvement.

Q1: Does this cage have wiring in the bottom?
A: This cage has plastic flooring on the top of the hutch and no flooring on the bottom.
Q2: Hi, I am interested in the Ware Premium Plus Penthouse Hutch...there does not seem to be a pull out drawer for cleaning under the top level. That is a concern to me as far as cleaning. What can you tell me about that?
A: You are correct - the floor doesn't have a slide-out tray. The top of the roof does completely open and allows easy access to clean out or wipe down the area - bunny would just need to be in the lower level to allow for the quick clean up.
Q3: Does the Premium Plus Penthouse hutch have a slide-out tray to easily clean the hutch? This is not stated in the description.
A: This hutch does not have a slide-out tray. WMI0042 does however.
Q4: Can I closed the ramp to not let them go down to the run when I am not at home.
A: The ramp stays in place but there is a little trap door on the first floor that flips open so the bunny can go up and down to each level. You can flip the latch so the little trap door covers the opening in the floor and bunny is contained to the top floor.
Q5: What is the shipping weight? What are the shipping dimensions? Thanks!
