The large size of the Trixie Natura Rabbit Hutch with Enclosure makes quite the home for rabbits and other small critters. Constructed from weatherproof glazed pine and coated metal bars, this two-story hutch includes a pull-out plastic tub that makes cleaning the hutch easy. Wood paneling at the hutch's back protects against the wind. The hutch also has roof flaps that open at the top, and the roof has mineral-surface roofing paper. Extra storage space is available in the attic. Other features include a lockable loft hatch with plastic coating, and extremely close mesh for breeding. Some simple assembly required. ...which is something I already knew, but never considered before purchasing this product!
First things first, there were a few damaged pieces in the box, but nothing major enough to warrant the hassle of a replacement. Also, the directions are not the most thorough, but if you know that going in and have a little patience, it's not too hard to put together.
Our rabbit is indoors and she used to be in an open exercise pen, but once she realized she could jump over it, she would let herself out to play whenever she felt like it! Overall, I think this is a better set up for her and it gives us more room in our den. She loves the security of the top enclosure (we call it her bedroom)but she did have a little trouble with the ramp at first. We had to place her on it and encourage her with treats but she got the hang of it in no time.
She's been in the hutch for less than a week and she has already done some structural damage of her own with the constant chewing. The pine is soft and the chewing is good for her teeth, but at the rate she's going, this hutch may not last us too long. It's only a matter of time before she "Shawshanks" her way out of one corner or another!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I was looking for something that would fit in our house but be big enough for our 4 bunnies, 3 dwarf and 1 full size. This is perfect. they have room to run around and they are happy in their new home. Before I had them in 2 seperate cages. It was easy to put together and it is easy to clean. :)

I have a rabbit that is the size of a large cat. I bought this hutch for it's size dimensions listed on the buying info but realized later that those dimensions are different than those listed under "dimensions and detail". Then after it was put together the measurments were different from the other two. I bought this thinking it was going to be 43.75" wide { front to back}, but it is only 28.5". This cage actually measures almost 52"Long {side to side} by 43" top to bottom by 28.5" front to back. Space mattered because of the rabbit's size. Also the ramp broke real easy where the already attached hinges are. Once secured the hinges pulled out of the ramp top which was split. Don't Know how long it will last in Washiinton weather since wood is soft like Balsa wood. I do like the look and design of it though. Also needs wiring on very bottom if you have a digger and wiring across the pull out tray so the rabbit doesn't walk in his droppings. Hope this helps any future buyers.

Product has very thin wood and not very sturdy. Dont know how its going to hold up.Had to add some wood braces to make it sturdy. The screws pull right out of the wood with very little pressure. Have to add wire at the bottom so rabbits dont dig out. Other than that it is roomy and the rabbit seems to like it. Not worth the money.
