Crafted of weather-resistant fir wood that's been treated with a non-toxic protective stain coating, this hutch has all kinds of features that give both you and your furry friend peace of mind. The hutch has a fold-down ramp so your rabbit can easily walk up and down into his hutch, and when he gets inside, he'll appreciate the separate nesting area attached to his expansive cage, with a wire front door that has a double lock. You can access your pet from the top lid, which locks open to provide hands-free access for petting and cleaning. A removable bottom drawer and grill let you clean waste that is kept away from the rabbit. Asphalt shingles on top further provide protection from the weather. Available in two sizes:
Small hutch: 36L x 24W x 35H in.
Large hutch: 46L x 24W x 36H in.

I expected this product to be of better quality than what I received, but it's hard to complain since it serves its purpose. It feels flimsy and a bit cheap, but then again you have to consider that you aren't expected to house a tiger in it. Because it's for a rabbit, the only thing I think I have to worry about it chewing since there are plenty of places she can chew, yet little to no harm to the "home" is expected. Once put together and feeling a bit more solid (minus how the roof is attached before the hinge is mounted), it should provide more confidence in its stability and reassure you that a rabbit won't have a problem living in there. Size-wise, the dimensions are specified so you can't really complain if you expected otherwise.

Nice design and construction but material is light so everything is not very strong. especially the grating over tray. Wonder how long it'll last before need some fixing or reinforcing.

I must say that my experience was not fantastic. I was told by the phone operator that assembly was required and that the shingles could be left off. Wrong! The entire lid was coated in tar and impregnated with little heat reflective chips that give off a horrible petrouleum odor. This cannot be used inside a closed room. Besides having to fabricate a new lid, several pieces were chipped and exhibited shipping damage. All in all the hutch will be salvagable but it will cost me more money to make it ready for use.

I rate this a 4 star because it is Durable, Easy to Clean, Lightweight, and Spacious for our 1 year old mini rex rabbit. The ramp is long like no other hutch I have ever seen. It is not a steep drop it is a more gradual. I used a transparent water based stain weather proofing wood finish from Behr premium so it could last longer in the tropical environment of south west Florida. She really enjoys her hutch!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The drawer did not slide in and out easily. You had to push and shove. Also, the wood split down the back the third time we opened the lid. One hinge was broken as well. Our rabbit never got in it. We have to figure out how to get it back in the box and return it. This sounded good on the web site, but it is already broke.
