    A top opening would be great on this cage, along with the side door. Floor grating is smaller than some and much better for bunny's paws! It is durable...Cameo keeps biting the wire when she wants to come out and play and I am totally comfortable she will never destroy it or damage it. I took out one wall and attached another cage to it to make it twice as big...it is perfect now...as she grew she needed more space. Making it longer also allows for a larger litter pan in the corner...much more suited to her size. I love this cage!

    We liked this cage alot but our little 6 month old rabbit has just pulled one of the door wires off. So the door is not so durable or my bunny is just really strong. Now we have to figure something out to fix it temporarily. The walls of the cages wires are much thicker then the door - they should of made the door the same thickness of wire! We might need to get a new cage now!?

      This looked bigger than it actually was. The length is good, but the width & height a bit small for a big bunny. Assembly was easy, but its sometimes difficult to get the tray started in the groove. I had to put the cage in a box, as our bunny splashes pee all over the place, so I prefer our other cage with its 4 inch deep bottom tray. We only use it at night, he has a hutch for day use. The bottom is all wire mesh, so he has no solid surface to sit on. We put paper down for him to lay upon. The tray is a good feature for cleaning, and we are adapting to it, I just prefer the ease of our other bun's cage.

      Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

        Our rabbit is litter box trained so we never close the cage door. We needed the cage for the few times a year we need to contain him. This was a replacement of a huge (37x30) cage that took up lots of space in my daughter's room. It is too small for a rabbit if you intend to keep the door closed.

          I am pleased with the size of my new cage, and so is my little bunny. It was very easy to put together and my previous cage was similar in looks. What I was not pleased with is that the floor wire does not fit snug with the rest of the sides and is able to move around, and because of this the pan does not stay all the way in. I plan on trying to bend the hooks around the floor wire to make it less mobile.
