This worked so well for our guinea pigs, I ordered a second one for our 12 week old baby bunny. It started like this... all research pointed towards getting the biggest cage possible for bunnies since they need "play space". I invested in the "C&C" cage and built our bunny a huge condo resort. Poor little guy would only sit in his corner litter box. Although he was mostly litter box trained, there were occasional pee accidents that were a nuisance to clean in his large cage. I pondered over this cage since it was great for the guinea pigs and made the financial plunge to buy one for the bunny (even though we had already spent a bit on building him a resort). Right out of the box, our bunny was loving his new cage. It appears that he preferred the coziness of a smaller cage. He sniffed all over, investigating his new home and plopped over in the middle of the cage to relax. Needless to say, he loves this cage much more than his previous cage. He stays out of his litter box most of the time now and lounges happily. We leave both doors open for him to come and go as as he pleases. His occasional pee accidents drip through the grate and will require much less clean up. We still clean his litter box daily.
Like the cage purchased for the guinea pigs, the water bottle dripped..... but this one so much worst it was not usable. I called Hayneedle who arranged for the manufacturer to ship me two new water bottles. I haven't recieved them yet but hope they are good once they come in. They are the "top-fill" type of water bottles. The concept is great since you only have to flip the top off and pour water in from the top of the bottle. You don't have to remove the entire bottle to take to the sink. I kind of wonder if the flip-top is preventing a good air suction therefore the leaks.

I have not actually put our bunny in this cage yet, as the cage is a Christmas gift for my daughter. However, the cage seems quite sturdy, and I, being a middle-aged woman with no mechanical ability whatsoever, was able to assemble it myself. No tools required, although the assembly directions were very vague and hard to follow. I suggest printing the online photo of the cage out, and referring to it during assembly...that helped me! Nice, large cage with heavy-duty plastic food dish, two access doors, slid-out cleaning trays, heavy-duty water bottle, hang-on hay manger. Recommend!

I got this cage for my daughter's 2 guinea pigs. As their name implies, they are pigs! They are so dirty and although they do most of their "business" in a corner litter box, they also go in the other 3 corners of their cage. We clean their cage 2-3 times a week, and it was always a battle to get my daughter to do her fair share. Keeping the odor under control was not easy. With this new cage, the piggies are elevated off their filth. I was extremely concerned that their feet may get stuck in the grate but turns out the holes are small enough so all toes are safe. Cleaning is so easy and I will not be using as much Aspen bedding. You pull the tray out, dump, rinse and dry quickly, line with newspaper, sprinkle a small amount of Aspen bedding in the corners only and slip back into cage. I plan on hosing the entire cage down once a month.
The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because the hay holder is a joke. I used it and after the 3rd day, cleaned the cage only to find most of the hay had slipped through the holder only to be wasted. Also, the water bottle leaks alot. I used my existing water bottle instead. If these two worked as it was intended, this cage would get a 5 star rating.

use this for a mid-sized rabbit
the greatness of it is the ease of cleaning and the comfort and apprearent pleasure it affords my rabbit
the directions for assembly are not the best
