Somewhat disappointed.....it is NOT large. A normal sized hen could not fit in the nesting boxes. This is made for the small chicken varieties. Works now for my chicks but do not see it being large enough when they are grown. It is a well thought out coop but way too small. Maybe it would work for 2 hens but not six. Looks larger in the picture.

This looks like it will be a nice enough coop, but my chicks are still too young to move in. I will need to change the door locks to varmint proof it though. The assembly directions are poor, some of the worst I've seen, but the coop is not that difficult to figure out. I think it will work nicely.

The design is good. The material it's made of is of very poor quality. Feels like balsa wood. So thin that if you dropped a piece it would break or splinter. Will have to tie it down to prevent it from blowing over when very windy. The photograph online makes it appear much larger than it is. It looks like a child's playhouse when finished. Mine arrived with a broken piece that will not be replaced for at least 6 wks due to backorders. When the piece is available, the company will FedEx me another entire coop, then I must open it and find the piece to replace my broken piece, take it out and put the broken piece in the box and FedEx the whole thing back to Hayneedle. That's 100 pounds of round trip shipping to replace 1 part. My coop is not usable until this piece is replaced. I had the option of returning the whole thing I originally received, but after spending hours putting it together only to discover the broken piece after that much time was invested, I was not willing to take it apart again, repack it like a puzzle in the 2 boxes and FedEx it back to Hayneedle. Hayneedle is now trying to work with the manufacturer to send me the single piece I need. What will happen, remains to be seen. The instructions are very, very poor and were written by a non-English speaking person apparently.....Stap 1, Stap 2, Stap 3....were illustrations only, no words at all. What language does Stap come from?

The product was good all but one piece that was crack and I had to repair it. You could tell it was not done by shipping, it was done by construction.
The instruction manual needs to be more detailed, pictures and instructions hard to determine and read.

First, thank you for your wonderful service. We got our Paw Hut Large Chicken Coop and it was very well engineered; went together easily. Looks great! I would give it 5 stars except for a couple of things; the directions at best are rather poor; especially if one has little experience with this kind of "put together" thing; and it would help if the little bags of screws were labeled. We took the time to figure out the type of screws and so marked them before we started. The other thing is that while some silly person rated this coop for as many as 10 hens - six is the max I would put in this small area and they had best be medium sized or smaller. No large breeds.

I would recommend this coop to a friend with no more than 4 or 5 small to medium sized hens and I would definitely recommend your company.
