Comments about High Country Doc Woody Natural Free Range Chicken Coop:
I am sadly dissapointed at the quality of this product considering the price we paid. I honestly would have returned it, If our chickens had not arrived that same week. The wood is very soft and it does not seem like it will hold up outside in the elements. The roof has alreay warped and the tar paper on the roof is already bubbling up with just the first few rains we've had, we can't even open the door to the coop, because the roof is warped, without having to pull up on the roof. The handles for moving the coop have poor placement, as it is difficult to move from the back where the nesting box is, unless you have unusually long arms. Cleaning is also difficult, because there is only a small door on the side and access via the nesting boxes into the main upper area is quite limited. Even though the measurements were given, I was also suprised how small the coop was when it was actually put together. Be prepared to spend additional money to weatherproof this product. I honestly feel the amount of money we spent on this product would have been better spent building our own....I am kicking myself everyday.
